Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s wedding is not in “crisis,” despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the report. A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirms to us the article is fabricated.
The deceptions begin right on Star‘s cover, which exclaims, “Meghan’s Tears: Wedding In Crisis!” Indeed, Markle is pictured crying. But this photo is not from the bride-to-be’s real life. The snapshot is from “Suits,” during a storyline in which Markle’s character was left at the altar. The gossip magazine is trying to dupe readers with not just that picture, but another on the cover that appears to show Markle and Prince Harry in bed together.
The teaser declares, “Raunchy Photos Leaked On The Dark Web,” and people are meant to think that is one such photo. In actuality, the picture is from the trailer for the Lifetime movie, Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance. Markle and Prince Harry are portrayed by actors.
The outlet is selling its cover story with provable misrepresentations, which is reason to doubt the credibility of the article inside the issue. In the report, the publication claims the spouses-to-be are in “full-blown panic mode” as “scandals keep piling up.” A so-called “palace insider” is quoted as saying, “It’s just been one nightmare after another… The wedding of the century is shaping up to be a disaster.”
Among the purported issues is the “attention-craving Markle clan,” with the tabloid maintaining Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Grant, who is not invited to the nuptials, “won’t go away without a fight.” Gossip Cop, however, has already explained why it’s virtually impossible for Markle’s estranged family to crash the wedding. The magazine then brings up the alleged photos of Markle that supposedly leaked last month. As we noted at the time, Kesington Palace insisted the images were “fake,” but here the specious source speculates, “If they are the real thing, the queen would be mortified.”
The outlet goes on to claim Queen Elizabeth “may have reached her limit,” particularly since Prince Harry was allegedly caught “cozying up” to ex Cressida Bonas last December. But no inappropriate behavior actually took place. As was documented at the time, Prince Harry and Bonas simply both took part in a charitable Christmas carol service. They haven’t been seen together since then.
The publication sums it all up this way, “Sexy exes, royal snubs and topless photos — what should be the happiest time of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s lives has become a nightmare.” But Gossip Cop has proven here why each of these supposed problems is really a non-issue. The aforementioned “palace insider” ridiculously asserts that “everyone is hoping they can put all of this behind them,” but there’s nothing the couple needs to get past. Nor is there anything legitimate to substantiate the contentions that the wedding is on track to be a “disaster,” and the couple is in a “panic.”
Plans are moving forward as intended, with Kensington Palace announcing this week which members of the public have been invited to join the wedding celebration. Furthermore, a spokesperson from Kensington Palace tells Gossip Cop that this cover story is fictional, with an inauthentic (not to mention unidentifiable and untraceable) “palace insider” used to peddle untruths.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
