Lindsay Lohan is not writing a tell-all book, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct the rumor. While the former child star is returning to the spotlight in different ways, her plans don’t include a memoir.
But according to RadarOnline, Lohan has “told pals” that she’s writing “the mother of tell-alls.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “If she gets the green light, she’s going to obliterate all her former party pals and ex-boyfriends.” The list of stars she supposedly plans to target is said to include Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Ashton Kutcher and Britney Spears.
The site goes on to crack that her “enemies list is even longer than Lohan’s police rap sheet,” and references incidents like a 2016 Instagram feud with Ariana Grande and, more recently, renewed beef with Hilton after the heiress called her a “pathological liar”, as well as a tiff this year with Kim Kardashian that was sparked by a hairstyle. In addition, the blog alleges Lohan will also “empty both barrels” on her ex-fiance, Egor Tarabasov. But all in all, she’ll be “spilling Hollywood’s secrets,” contends the website. It’s further asserted that her “bomb-throwing book will fetch an advance of about $5 million.”
But while Lohan certainly has a colorful history, she has no intentions of revisiting it or settling old scores through a book. Just over a month ago, in a New York Times profile tied to Lohan’s Mykonos beach club, she said, “I’m a normal, nice person. A good person. I don’t have any bad intentions. And my past has to stay in the past.” She went on to say, “I think success is the best revenge — and silence, as a presence.” In other words, she is not planning to open up about her past or explicitly take aim at others.
Lohan further expressed a disinterest in returning to the world of celebrities. Living in Dubai, she pointed out, “I don’t have to turn on the news and see about the Kardashians.” Obviously, then, it makes little sense to claim she wants to write a tell-all that will attack the famous clan. At another point in the interview, she stressed, “I don’t want any judgment on me.” Doing a memoir, particularly one involving “Hollywood secrets,” would only invite judgment.
But there is a plan to showcase a slice of her life. As teased in the Times profile and officially announced earlier this week, MTV will air a docuseries focusing on Lohan’s beach club in Greece. The project has drawn comparisons to Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules,” which is less about Lisa Vanderpump and more about the people who work at her restaurant. But while Vanderpump’s series is very much set in the Hollywood scene, Lohan’s will have nothing to do with it. It also has nothing to do with her controversial past.
To recap: RadarOnline, citing only an anonymous “source,” claims Lohan wants to write a Hollywood-focused tell-all that will delve into her feuds with a number of stars. But the actress herself is on the record recently saying she wants her past to “stay in the past.” She instead intends to focus on her future, which will include a docuseries that has no connection at all to her years as a Hollywood celebrity. And while it’s clear from Lohan’s own remarks that she would have no interest in a pot-stirring memoir, Gossip Cop also checked in with her manager, who is authorized to speak on her behalf. The rep confirms there’s “no truth” to these claims of Lohan doing a tell-all.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
