Kaylee Quinn wasn't the most popular dancer on the Lifetime reality show Dance Moms. In fact, one of the mothers on the show had this to say about her, "You can tell that she thinks she's better than everyone else and that's a problem."
Her antics on the show earned her the dubious nickname of "Brat," and not that many people were sad to see her quietly fade away from the show. Well, now 14-year-old Kaylee Quinn is back in the spotlight and people are once again calling her out for "brat" behavior, but was she really even being a brat in the first place?
It all started when Kaylee posted a video to her YouTube channel about the birthday haul she received. The gifts included a Gucci skirt ($1,500), a Louis Vuitton bag ($2,500), Gucci sneakers ($580), and a pair of Yves Saint Laurent sunglasses ($490). There were, of course, other presents that helped get the birthday girl to a total haul of $6,000 worth of presents, but those were the heavy hitters. In the video, Kaylee was openly grateful to her parents, sisters, and friends for getting her such lovely gifts, but people were already swarming the comment section with insults and negativity.
"I'm sorry but you just spoiled and seem bratty," wrote one commenter.
"She's the same age as me... goodness she's spoiled. She's been spoiled since she was little though," another wrote.
"Anyone else scared that she's only 14," asked one commenter.
"I feel bad if I make my parents spend like 40 dollars on me lol," yet another person commented.
Not all the comments were negative, however. Many of Kaylee's fans came rushing to her defense.
"I think it's so sweet how she said that she was grateful for all the things she got which touches my heart because she was born in a blessed family and she has all this money but she still is grateful for everything which was such a nice thing," wrote one supporter.
"Kaylee don't let the haters get to you!! There just jealous!!?" another commented.
It's clear that some of the negative commenters were simply jealous that Kaylee got to get nice, expensive things for her birthday, but they might just have a point. What does a 14-year-old really need with over $6,000 worth of stuff?
Then again, it's her parents' money, and they have the right to treat their child as they see fit. Besides, it's not like she was acting like an ungrateful brat in the video. Maybe it's those sour commenters who are the real brats. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
