Is Liam Hemsworth‘s worried about his new romance with Maddison Brown because they fear she’s as wild as Miley Cyrus? That’s the ridiculous claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can correct it.
“Liam’s Folks Frown On Freaky New Gal!” reads a headline in the latest issue of the National Enquirer. The accompanying article says the actor’s parents, Craig and Leonie, were “shocked” when they heard on a radio show that Brown wanted to sleep with Liam and his older brother Chris “at the same time.”
The magazine’s story is misleading and out of context from the very start. Back in June, several months before Brown began dating Liam, she played a game on The Zach Sang Show in which she was given the names of three celebrities and was asked to choose who she’d marry, sleep with and kill. The Hemsworth brothers were included in the game, and the Australian actress joked, “I want both of the Hemsworths!” Oddly enough, she got one of them several months later, but the magazine is trying to make it seem as if she went on the radio while dating Liam and said she wanted to sleep with his older brother as well.
An alleged source is then quoted as saying, “Craig and Leonie were always concerned abut his relationship with Miley. They wanted Liam to settle down and start a family. They fear with this new girl Maddison he’s getting more of the same when he’s just had a marriage blow up in his face.”
Nothing about the magazine’s article is remotely true. The whole scenario stems from Brown’s comments during a silly segment on a radio show. There’s zero other evidence to suggest that the Australian actress is “wild.” People magazine, a much more reliable source for celebrity news than the Enquirer, recently reported that Liam is “taking it slow” with Brown since his divorce from Cyrus is still so fresh. There’s no reason to believe the actor’s parents are questioning his judgement.
Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had to debunk a phony story involving the actor’s new relationship. Just last week, Gossip Cop busted the Enquirer‘s sister outlet, Life & Style, for falsely claiming Liam was only dating Brown to get “revenge” on Cyrus. The gossip media simply has no insight into the actor’s new romance. The tabloids are just coming up with arbitrary ways to compare Liam’s new girlfriend to his ex.
Our Verdict
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
