Kim Kardashian is not urging Kanye West to “record a diss track” about Beyonce and Jay Z, despite a new published report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim. We’re told talk of a “revenge” song is “false.”
According to an article in this week’s In Touch, following the release of Jay Z’s track, “Kill Jay Z,” in which he raps about West, and includes the lyric, “You’re the one that’s insane,” Kardashian is ready to “feud” full-on with Beyonce and her husband. A so-called “insider” tells the tabloid, “[Kardashian’s] furious. She wants revenge.” “Kim’s says this is war, and she’s ready to fight dirty,” adds the alleged source.
After throwing in how West may sue Tidal over monies he believes he’s owed for “The Life Of Pablo” from Jay Z’s streaming service, the publication’s supposed “insider” is quoted as saying, “She wants Kanye to record a diss track that will fully rip on Beyonce and Jay and how fake they really are.” The magazine’s misinformed or seemingly made-up source contends, “Beyonce is the only person in the world that Kim sees as her competition.” It then alleges that since Jay Z and Beyonce are buying a $120 million mansion in Bel Air, “Kim’s considering buying the $200 million Spelling Manor… which is almost twice the size.”
This is all very dramatic, but not exactly rooted in reality. As Gossip Cop pointed out last week, for instance, the claim by In Touch‘s sister publication, Life & Style, about Kardashian and West wanting to buy a bigger mansion than Beyonce and Jay Z is 100 percent untrue. More importantly, the article’s main contention that Kardashian is pushing West to “record a diss track” is also wrong. A rep for Kardashian says the claim is “false.” Additionally, a West insider assures Gossip Cop if he resorts to that one day, and he currently has no plans to, it will have “nothing to do with Kim.”
Of course, the tabloid has a rather spotty record when it comes to Kardashian. In 2015, Gossip Cop busted the magazine when it falsely claimed on a cover that the reality star was “dumped on her first anniversary” of marriage to West. Not only was the outlet completely wrong, but last year it unimaginatively ran a cover that also untruthfully maintained Kardashian was “dumped on her 2nd anniversary.” Perhaps it’s time for the publication to dump its unreliable Kardashian sources.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
