Kanye West is once again being hit with legal issues as a new lawsuit alleges the rapper of sending hateful messages to his Jewish employees. According to Variety, a former marketing staffer for West is now suing him, claiming he fired her after calling her ugly and texting her “Hail Hitler.”

The former employee, who is Jewish, further alleged that West routinely targeted her and other Jewish employees with hateful and antisemitic remarks.
The lawsuit was filed in L.A. Superior Court on Tuesday, Feb. 11. The legal documents also included text messages allegedly sent by Kanye West to employees. Among the texts, he stated, “I Am A Nazi” and “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler.”
In the lawsuit, the former employee revealed that West’s antisemitic behavior occurred from January to June 2024. She was hired as a marketing specialist at West’s company, Yeezy, in December 2023.
Within two weeks of being employed by West, the rapper issued an apology in Hebrew for his past antisemitic comments. His past remarks led to him being “canceled” in 2022.
Although he seemed apologetic in the post, the former employee stated that his positive behavior didn’t last very long. Weeks after issuing the public apology, she suggested that West denounce any ties to Nazism while promoting his album, Vultures Vol. 1.
However, when a fellow employee relayed the advice to him, West responded in a text message, “I Am A Nazi.”
Kanye West Harassed the Jewish Employee Through Text Messages
Although she was fired in March 2024, the employee said she was quickly rehired. Her salary was doubled as well. In June 2024, West texted her and other employees, “What The F— Is Everybody Getting Paid?”
He then went on an extensive rant in a group chat, comparing himself to Hitler. In the exact group text, he berated the marketing specialist. Hours after the rant ended, the employee claimed that West continued his verbal assault against her. He called her ugly and stupid. At one point, he stated, “Come destroy me b—.” She was fired the next day.
The former employee is now suing Kanye West for gender and religious discrimination as well as wrongful termination.
In a statement, the former employee’s attorney, Carney Shegerian, stated that West waged a “relentless and deliberate campaign of antisemitism and misogyny” towards the plaintiff.
“His appalling treatment of women and fixation on Nazism, evident in abusive texts where he repeatedly calls himself Hitler, expose his motives,” Shegerian further shared. “We need to stop excusing Ye’s behavior. As a father, husband, and employer, he must be held accountable. Ye dared my client to sue, and we will see him in court.”
West’s latest legal trouble comes days after he took to his now-deactivated account on X and wrote antisemitic posts. Among the messages included the phrase “I am a Nazi.” He then advertised a website that listed a T-shirt featuring a swastika, which was infamously referred to the Nazi Germany symbol. The website was removed for violating Shopify terms.
