Two weeks after RadarOnline body-shamed Jessica Simpson for “letting herself go,” the often discredited site now claims she’s told her husband Eric Johnson that he should “stay fat” because it’s “sexier.” The outlet further alleges that the two are happy they’re “no longer slaves to the gym” and Simpson loves Johnson’s “fuller figure.” And while it’s true Simpson and Johnson are less weight obsessed than the webloid that’s reporting on them, this new article is all made up.
The outlet claims it has an “insider” who says, “[Simpson] hates scrawny guys and has instructed Eric, 37, to stay just the way he is, and he’s got no problem if he keeps gaining some extra pounds.” “They love living the high life and never want to go back to being diet and fitness bores ever again,” adds the questionable “insider.” Are readers really supposed to believe that a source said Johnson’s name and exact age while speaking? Actually, Gossip Cop is not sure whether we’re more offended by the fake quotations or that the blog feels it can publish a story that body shames Simpson for her weight one week, and then comes back to claim she wants her husband to “stay fat”?
Still, the repeatedly debunked outlet trudges on to maintain it knows that Johnson and Simpson’s “sex life has never been better either.” Its seemingly made-up “source” is quoted as saying the sex has “never been hotter, and [Simpson’s] convinced it’s because of their extra curves… She loves having more of Eric to love.”
The site, which has been caught on several occasions publishing lies about Simpson, knows nothing about her sex life. Just a little more than two weeks ago, Gossip Cop slammed RadarOnline for reporting Simpson was pregnant with her third child. That was 100 percent false, as is this latest piece of fiction. Curiously, the blog makes no mention of Simpson expecting, even though it swore up and down that she had a “tell-tale bump.”
A mutual friend of Gossip Cop and Simpson’s simply called the webloid’s article “unbelievable.” We also reached out to a rep for the actress and singer.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
