A tabloid claims Jennifer Lawrence‘s friend were rude to the staff at The Greenwich Hotel in New York City when she supposedly threw a “wild party” for them at the establishment. The story is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can correct it.
According to Life & Style, the actress and her fiance Cooke Maroney recently hosted a bash for 60 of their friends at the NYC hotel, but the evening turned into a fiasco. “It was nice out, so naturally Jennifer and her pals wanted to hang out on the hotel’s patio,” a supposed source tells the outlet. “However, to be fair to other guests who want to sleep, the hotel brings revelers inside around 11 p.m.”
The alleged insider goes on to say that Lawrence was “very understanding” of the policy, but her friends weren’t. “They were giving the staff a hard time and being so rude, asking them, ‘Don’t you know who she is?'” The questionable tipster further contends that the actress’s pals “refused to listen and raged outside until 2 a.m.,” hours after the patio was supposed to close down.
The tabloid’s report is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable “source,” but Gossip Cop reached out to Lawrence’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record it’s simply “not true.” The actress’s rep further points out, “She’s filming in New Orleans so I have no idea what this could be referring to.” Lawrence has in fact been spending the summer in New Orleans filming an untitled drama from acclaimed theater director Lila Neugebauer.
Of course, we’re not surprised by Life & Style‘s bogus report. Back in June, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Lawrence was feuding with Scarlett Johansson over their upcoming weddings. The magazine insisted that the two actresses were in a fierce competition to “outdo one another.” Separate reps for both stars dismissed the article as nonsense, with Johansson’s spokesperson telling us, “There has never been and is no ‘feud’ between the ladies, just mutual respect.”
It’s also worth mentioning, the outlet claimed back in 2017 that Lawrence was planning a wedding with then-boyfriend Darren Aronofsky. The pair split shortly after Gossip Cop debunked the phony story. It’s clear the untrustworthy magazine has very little insight into the actress’s personal life. The actress isn’t throwing “wild parties” at hotels in New York City while simultaneously working on a movie in New Orleans. Every aspect of the tabloid’s latest report is fabricated.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
