In an interesting turn of events, Jason Kelce paid a special visit to the USA Women’s Rugby Team at the 2024 Olympics.

Following the team’s win against Brazil on Sunday, July 28, Kelce, who was wearing his now-famous French beret, stopped by the rugby team’s locker room.
As he was chatting with star player Ilona Maher, Jason Kelce was convinced to be a superfan of the team.
“Women’s water polo has Flavor Flav as their superfan,” Maher explained. “You are a girl dad. Do you get anything from being our superfan? No. There’s no reward, no money, no benefits, I don’t think I can get you free stuff.”

After dubbing Maher a “great salesman, Jason Kelce declared, “I am officially a fan of women’s rugby, Olympics.”
“We got Jason Kelce!” Maher announced as the former NFL player laughed and her teammates screamed with joy.
Before visiting the rugby team, Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie showed off their patriotic side. They also paid tribute to Kylie’s field hockey experience and cheered on the women’s field hockey team on Saturday, July 27.
Despite showing off his USA spirit, Jason Kelce managed to purchase a French beret. He was sporting the hat around as he attended various events.
Jason Kelce Talks Going to the Olympics to Support Team USA
While speaking to the Associated Press, Jason Kelce revealed details about his and Kylie’s journey to the Olympics.
“When we found out that we were going to have an opportunity to go to this, the more we thought about it, we were like, ‘Let’s take advantage of it now that we can actually do it,’” Jason explained. “We love sports, we love competition, we love world events. This is such a unique place where the entire world gets to come together and bond over competition and sports.”
Kylie then shared, “I would say I’ve always wanted to come and see (an) Olympic games. When they qualified to come to Paris, I was like, that kind of makes sense.”
She also gushed about field hockey players Ashley Sessa and Kelee Lepage. “And then when I got to sit down with Ashley and Kelee, it was kind of a no-brainer. … Through and through, it made sense. We’re happy to be here.”
Kylie went on to add, “It was just really cool to sit down and talk with them about what this means to them, how they’ve looked forward to it and what it took for them get here and it’s so amazing to see them on this stage. It’s just sort of this full-circle moment of I feel like the field hockey community really bands together. No matter what level you’re playing, you can appreciate what this is.”
