George Clooney and his wife Amal are not set for a “custody fight over” their twins, Ella and Alexander, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this since the Clooneys are not having marriage issues. We’ve been assured on the record that talk of “divorce” is ” completely made-up.”
According to yet another off-base RadarOnline tale, George’s “marriage [is] hanging by a thread” simply because he hasn’t been pictured with his twins in a long time. Of course, many celebrities aren’t often snapped with their children, and it’s not indicative of whether their marriages are strong or not. And arguably, the photographers shouldn’t be invading the privacy of minors, a point made very clear in 2017 by George when he lashed out at paparazzi who took photos of his twins without permission on his property in Lake Como, Italy.
Notwithstanding, the repeatedly disproven blog claims to have an “insider” who maintains the Clooneys are constantly “arguing” and are “like oil and water.” The same nameless and untraceable tipster further contends there’s talk of a “custody fight over the twins.” “Adding fuel to the divorce talk,” writes the website, is that they “have not been photographed together since August 11,” as if paparazzi pictures are the outlet’s only form of reporting.
The same anonymous and seemingly manufactured “source” continues by asserting how George “knows some of the best lawyers in L.A.,” and could use his massive fortune to launch an intense custody battle. Noting how Amal is an attorney, the same supposed insider alleges their divorce “could get very ugly.” For the time being, adds the blog as it digs its ditch even deeper, Amal had “fled” to Sardinia with Ella and Alexander.
With the exception of the spelling of their names, virtually everything in the RadarOnline article about the Clooneys is wrong. For instance, despite the outlet’s insistence they haven’t been “photographed together since August 11,” just a month ago George and Amal were photographed leaving a United Nations event in New York hand-in-hand. Also, contrary to the site’s unidentifiable source’s remarks about how they’re like “oil and water,” the two have openly gushed about one another.
Significantly, in a speech Amal made when George was honored with the AFI Life Achievement Award in June, she told the crowd she knew she “would never want to be with anyone else” after they first met. Amal went on to gush about how her husband’s smile makes her “melt every time,” and that what she found with George is the “great love I always hoped existed.”
As for the nonsense about Amal divorcing George and having moved out of their house with the twins, that was a untrue premise spread last week by the site’s sister publication, the National Enquirer. While those outlets and others hide behind unaccountable sources to concoct divorce rumors about George and Amal Clooney, and layer them with phony claims about the couple fighting for custody of their twins, the actor’s rep specifically went on the record with Gossip Cop to tell us it’s all “made-up.”
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
