Mealy alleges that the rapper, real name Nayvadius DeMun Cash, failed to comply with a 2023 court order mandating he obtain a $500,000 life insurance policy naming her as the trustee for their son, Prince. According to court documents obtained by Complex and TMZ, she wants the 42-year-old “Mask Off” rapper held in contempt until he secures the policy.
“More than eighteen (18) months have passed since the compliance deadline,” Mealy’s petition alleges. “Despite several written requests over the course of several months, [Future] has failed and refused to comply.”
This latest legal issue follows a 2023 ruling where a judge increased Future’s child support payments to Mealy from $3,000 to $5,000 per month.

This isn’t the first time the pair has made headlines. In 2021, Mealy accused Future of calling her a “hoe” in a text message to their son while they were reportedly discussing school clothes.
“DEFINITELY NOT CAP!” Mealy began in an Instagram story rant. “TF I GOT TO LIE FOR YOU SAID IT definitely your # and his SO STAND ON IT AND PIPE DOWN IF U DONT WANT THESE RECORDINGS POSTED! On GAWD YOU SAID IT THEY NEED TO CANCEL YOU. Cruelty to children! Haven’t seen him in 3 months but in the same State I can Keep Going! Got a refund on His school Clothes today! Petty cause someone Don’t wanna be sexually active with you and just want to co parent!!”
Meanwhile, the veteran rapper is no stranger to being a parent. Future has six other children besides Prince: sons Jakobi, Future Zahir, Hendrix, and Kash, and daughters Londyn and Paris.
