Enjoyed this year's 2020 Critics Awards? Well, Jennifer Aniston did not.
The movie starlet was nowhere to be seen at Sunday's awards ceremony. The reason why? A recent Elle article explained she was absent because she wasn't nominated for any awards. Although her new show, The Morning Show, did bring home a victory. Billy Cruddy was nominated and won the award the Best Supporting Actor In A Drama Series for his role as Cory Ellison.
The Morning Show, staring Aniston, Ellison, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell takes a deeper look into the everyday lives of T.V. show hosts as they adapt to the ever-changing world of television. The show is available for streaming and download on Apple T.V.
It was also reported Aniston was simply taking a break from award shows. She attended the Golden Globes last week, where both she and Witherspoon received nominations for their work on The Morning Show. Neither took home any awards.
Instead of attending the award show, Aniston found other ways to occupy her free time. Jennifer made a splash on social media by reuniting with former Friends cast members Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox. The three ladies had a fun night out together, and even posted a selfie together on Aniston's Instagram page.
Since the hit show from the '90s has officially left Netflix for the streaming platform HBO Max, fans were ecstatic to see Rachel (Aniston), Monica (Cox) and Phoebe (Kudrow) back together.
Although Aniston was missed at the award show, it was nice to see a mini Friends reunion.
