By this point, it would be shocking if someone had never heard of Emma Watson. She's a Harry Potter star, real life Disney princess, feminist activist, and she continues to make headlines for her insightful commentary. Buzzfeed covered a particular mature and healthy method that Emma Watson uses to view her love life. Because the star is approaching 30, she's been feeling some extra societal pressure. Specifically, she feels pressure from all sides to settle down, marry a man, and have children. That's way too much expectation to put on one person, let alone one person who's so heavily scrutinized in the media.

Watson was recently the cover star in British Vogue, where she first announced her thought-provoking ideas.

Watson candidly shared with British Vogue how, “I was like, ‘Why does everyone make such a big fuss about turning 30? This is not a big deal' … Cut to 29, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I feel so stressed and anxious. And I realize it’s because there is suddenly this bloody influx of subliminal messaging around. If you have not built a home, if you do not have a husband, if you do not have a baby, and you are turning 30, and you’re not in some incredibly secure, stable place in your career, or you’re still figuring things out … There’s just this incredible amount of anxiety.”

Watson opened up about how, despite her immense success, she still faced a pressure that many women across the world experience. She then went on to address her currently single status, and how she's come to embrace it.

She then went on to talk about how, “I never believed the whole ‘I’m happy single’ spiel. I was like, ‘This is totally spiel.’ It took me a long time, but I’m very happy [being single]. I call it being self-partnered.”

Self-partnered. The term feels more empowering and intentional. Someone who's self-partned is perfectly content with themselves, and they don't feel bad about not finding a special someone.

Twitter praised the actress for her inspirational wisdom, with many choosing to use the term themselves going forward.

Emma Watson not only continues to star in incredible films, she also grants audiences reassuring life advice. So the next time nosy family member's ask about finding a partner or is pushing for marriage, fully embrace a self-partnered status and pay them no mind! We should all channel out inner Emma Watson and live our best life at this moment.
