Jenelle Evans is known for her excellent judgment. After all, that's what launched her to Teen Mom fame in the first place. Recently, Jenelle executed her amazing judgment during a road rage incident in which she packed some serious heat in front of her 8-year-old son, Jace. Things turned potentially deadly after Jenelle decided to follow the other driver involved to his home and confronted him.
How it all started is a bit confusing, with both sides blaming each other for the hostilities. From what we've pieced together from TMZ's reporting is that both Jenelle and the other driver were driving along the same stretch of highway, with Jenelle's car in the front. The other driver, according to Jenelle, had been tailgating her for some time before speeding around her then getting ahead of her vehicle.
Once there, the other driver brake-checked Jenelle while they were going about 70 mph, causing Jenelle to almost hit him. That's when Jenelle really lost her temper. In the footage shot by MTV and published by TMZ, Jenelle can be seen calling 911 to report a reckless driver. While she did so, she reached into a side compartment on her door and grabbed a gun, which she then stuck on her lap, in full reach of her child.
The other driver, who admitted that he had been instigating, drove off, turning onto a dirt road and Jenelle, who was literally sitting right next to her 8-year-old, decided to follow him. Eventually, both cars stopped in the road and the drivers yelled at each other from their windows, setting an amazing example for the child present.
At one point, Jace offers up his own help, showing that his mother has taught him well. In a nonchalant tone, he says, "If he tries to get out and hurt you, I can grab this nerf gun and whip him!"
Jenelle apparently turns down his kind offer and instead grabs her gun again, brandishing it out the window at the other driver. Get this, the other driver claims he was also carrying that day and that he "shoots to kill," and would have in this situation, if he hadn't seen the child in the passenger seat and felt a twinge of mercy.
Clearly, everyone in this situation is wrong. Even the 8-year-old is wrong somehow, but he can't really be blamed for that if this is how the adults around him act whenever they face off against someone. For someone who's been arrested at least nine times since 2011, and who doesn't even have full custody of their oldest child, Jenelle sure likes to play things fast and reckless. No wonder her second baby daddy is trying to take custody of his son Kaiser away from her.
What do you think? Were her actions justified, or was she playing with fire and putting her kid in danger? Let us know in the comments!
