Caitlyn Jenner and Sophia Hutchins have not called off their so-called “summer wedding.” The two women aren’t in a romance and had no plans to walk down the aisle. Gossip Cop can debunk the claim otherwise.
According to the National Enquirer, the former Olympian and her close friend, who also transitioned from male to female, were ready to get hitched but started fighting once it came to planning the nuptials. “They’ve been bickering over everything – the date, the guest list and even the music they play,” says a supposed insider. “Cait finally got sick of trying to please Sophia over every little thing.”
The alleged source further contends that Jenner and Hutchins were due to send out invitations in June, but now they’re telling pals the ceremony will be held “later this year.” The anonymous tipster adds, “Cait’s pretty devastated. She adores Sophia and still wants to marry her, but not if she’s being made to feel like she’s forcing the issue.”
The tabloid hides behind an untraceable “source” to back up its story, but Jenner’s own spokesperson is going on the record to refute it. The reality star’s rep, who’s qualified to speak on her behalf, confirms she was never planning a summer wedding with Hutchins. The two simply haven’t called off their imaginary nuptials.
Here’s what’s really happening. The Enquirer has been insisting for a long time that the two women are tying the knot, but that clearly hasn’t panned out. In February, for example, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Jenner would be undergoing plastic surgery before her “wedding” to Hutchins.
In January, Gossip Cop called out the publication for making up a story about Jenner choosing Kanye West to be the best man at her wedding. And last July, the outlet inaccurately contended Jenner was being a “bridezilla” while planning her wedding to Hutchins. Every aspect of this ongoing saga has been fabricated.
In an attempt to explain why Jenner and Hutchins haven’t exchanged vows, the Enquirer has now come up with a new bogus angle about them “calling off” their purported wedding. This is simply so the outlet doesn’t have to acknowledge why it’s been getting the story wrong for so long. In reality, the two women are very close friends, but they’re not dating and certainly weren’t in the midst of organizing a wedding. Perhaps all future reports about Jenner and Hutchins getting married should be called off instead.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
