During her recent appearance on the WHOOP podcast with host Will Ahmed, Brittany shared how the NFL star helps her deal with media attention and fame. “I think the main thing that he always told me is like, ‘Stop caring about what people think, especially the people that don’t even know you,’” she explained.
Brittany also admitted that social media used to get to her a lot. However, now she doesn’t “give a f— about what people have to say about” her anymore.
“And I think he’s helped me get to that point where I’m strong in who I am,” she said. “I’m confident in who I am and I’m confident in mine and his relationship — and I’m confident in our life. So, why does what other people say have to matter at all?”
Ahmed then pointed out that Brittany and Patrick Mahomes knew each other before they became famous.
“I think we kind of got thrown into the fire together and I think that’s what helped us do so well in the life that we [have] is that we did it all together,” Brittany noted. “He is a lot better at it than I am because his dad [former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes Sr.] played professional sports, so I think he was around it and he understood it a lot more than I did.”
Brittany Mahomes Points Out How Patrick Handles His Own Critics
Brittany Mahomes continued by noting how Patrick helps her because he’s very good at managing criticism. “So having him beside me, kind of guiding me and coaching me through it has helped a ton. And I think that’s kind of how we’ve gotten to where we are now.”
Brittany and Patrick have been together since high school. The couple got married in 2022 and share two children with another on the way.
Brittany is currently getting hit with heavy criticism after Eagle Eye social media users noticed she “liked” a post indicating she supports former President Donald Trump. The post featured an outline of the “2024 GOP platform.”
Amid the early stages of the backlash, Brittany doubled down and clapped back in her Instagram Story. “I mean honestly, To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”
She then posted a cryptic message. “Contrary to the tone of the world today….you can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind. Read that again!”
Brittany noticeably “unliked” the Trump-supporting post. She also has not publicly stated she supports Trump. However, screenshots are forever.
