Bradley Cooper is not putting fame before his family, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can debunk the claim, which is one of this week’s tabloids. We’re told all talk of Cooper favoring his upcoming movie, A Star Is Born, over Irina Shayk and their 7-month-old daughter Lea is “untrue.”
According to Star, Cooper is putting his relationship with Shayk on the “back burner to focus on his other baby: A Star Is Born,” the movie he directed and stars in opposite Lady Gaga. The publication quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “All he talks about is how many Academy Awards he’s going to win.” The alleged insider contends, “He thinks he’s the second coming of Orson Welles,” the legendary filmmaker behind such classics as Citizen Kane.
“All Irina wants is for Bradley to lend a hand with Lea,” asserts the magazine’s source. But instead of helping Shayk raise their daughter, the publication’s tipster maintains, “Bradley hides out in his private screening room, watching French New Wave films from the 1960s and hosting mixers with ‘other’ visionary filmmakers.” “The man is insufferable,” adds the tabloid’s supposed “source.”
Before Gossip Cop gets into what a Cooper source says, let’s examine the basic flaws in the magazine’s article. First, the outlet asserts that Cooper’s focus is not on his baby girl, but instead on A Star Is Born. So naturally, when he’s not with his family, he’s editing that movie, right? But the tabloid seems to have forgotten its premise just one paragraph later because it then alleges the reason Cooper doesn’t help with Lea is that he’s too busy watching 50-year-old French movies wth other “visionary filmmakers.”
Despite the absurdity of the story, Gossip Cop looked into the magazine’s article and we’re told it’s “untrue.” The reality is that Cooper is spending time with Shayk and Lea, as well as working on his directorial debut, which is slated for theaters on May 2018. The tabloid simply didn’t look thoroughly into its alleged source’s claims.
It’s not the first time Star has gotten it wrong with Cooper. For the longest time, the tabloid falsely maintained that frequent collaborators Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence were a couple. Also, Gossip Cop busted the publication when it manufactured a phony tale about Lady Gaga giving Cooper unwanted sexual attention. It seems the only thing that’s on the “back burner” is the magazine’s fact-checking.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
