Bradley Cooper and Anna Wintour aren’t “more than friends,” despite an absurd tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the romance rumors. The story is total nonsense.
“What’s Going On With Bradley & Anna?” reads a headline in the latest issue of In Touch. The simple answer is that they’re pals, but the magazine insists on speculating otherwise. Earlier this month, the actor and the Vogue editor-in-chief were spotted at London’s Heathrow airport catching a flight to New York City. A so-called “onlooker” tells the magazine, “They seemed so at ease with each other, it almost looked like they were a couple.”
“They seem to always be together, and people are starting to buzz about it,” adds the supposed source. “At first no one thought anything of it, probably because of the age difference. But now… I mean, why would they be flying together from London to New York?” The simple answer is that they’re friends, but the tabloids don’t like simple answers.
From there, the magazine dredges up the false notion that Lady Gaga was the reason Cooper split from Irina Shayk this past summer, “but wouldn’t it be funny,” says the alleged insider, “if Gaga was just a red herring all along and Anna was the reason Bradley broke up with Irina?” We’re not sure “how funny” that would be, but it certainly isn’t true. Cooper and Wintour did share dinner together in July shortly after his split from Shayk, which the tipster calls “suspicious.” It’s not.
Another unknown source tells the outlet that Cooper and Wintour might not be an item yet, but they’re headed that way. “I could see it happening down the road,” says the questionable insider. “Anna is 70, but she looks amazing. She’s the ultimate cougar. She’s smart and fearless and passionate about her work – that could be very attractive to Bradley. I’m sure she brings more to the conversation than Irina did.”
Gossip Cop should note at this point that Wintour has been married to venture capitalist Shelby Bryan since 2004. The outlet acknowledges this, but the “source” says her husband “flies under the radar, and that only fuels the Bradley rumors.” The seemingly phony insider concludes, “All the speculation must be very flattering for Anna. After all, who wouldn’t want to be linked to Bradley Cooper?” A married woman, for one. Regardless, this “speculation” only exists in the pages of In Touch.
Cooper and Wintour are longtime pals whose friendship pre-dates his relationship with Shayk. In fact, Wintour often joined Cooper and Shayk on outings when they were still together. The Vogue editor even hung out with the actor and his previous girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse. Just because Cooper happens to be single now doesn’t mean he’s suddenly developing a romance with Wintour.
It should be noted, Gossip Cop recently awarded In Touch the dubious honor of publishing 2019’s craziest story about the actor. The magazine reported back in June that Cooper and Gaga were having a baby together. We’ve dubbed that bogus report as the top rumor of the year about the A Star Is Born co-stars. By September, the magazine forget all about that phony scenario. Instead, the outlet tried to create a love connection between Cooper and Angelina Jolie. The magazine has zero insight into the actor’s personal life.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
