Brad Pitt is not writing a tell-all about Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, despite a report. Gossip Cop is told that a new tabloid cover story announcing such a book is made up.
The claim comes from In Touch, which blares on its new cover, “Brad’s Tell-All On Angie & Jen.” The front of the issue teases that this supposed “$10 million book” will include “explosive, unfiltered & intimate details of both marriages.” That allegedly includes admissions about “Angelina’s jealous rages & relentless attacks,” as well as a “shocking confession about Jen.”
“After years of brutal self-reflection, Brad Pitt is confessing all about his marriages to Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston in a bombshell book,” contends the tabloid. A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Brad’s been writing his thoughts, feelings and memories in a journal as he heals [from the split with Jolie], and he’s decided to turn it into a confessional tell-all book about self-realization.” And an “insider” claims to the gossip magazine, “The tell-all is going to be explosive, very intimate and unfiltered.”
But there’s no such deal in place. So, where does the outlet get the $10 million figure from? Well, that’s an estimate given by a “publishing expert,” who thinks the purported project would earn Pitt such a hefty payday. What’s more, though, is the aforementioned “insider” alleges Pitt would actually be paid close to $20 million and “would donate that to charity.” From there, the article goes on and on about what the actor would include in the book.
“Brad is going to cover every part of his life in his memoir. Not only will he spend a good deal talking about his split with Angie, he will open up about his failed marriage to Jennifer Aniston, too,” the “source” asserts to the outlet. But if any of this sounds familiar, that’s likely because In Touch‘s sister outlet, Life & Style, tried peddling a similar story in May.
In that article, it was claimed Jolie was worried Pitt was writing a tell-all book based on his alleged journaling about the breakdown of their relationship. Gossip Cop was assured that no memoir would be hitting the shelves. With this new story, however, Gossip Cop investigated again. The latest contentions, though, are just “more bullsh*t,” says our impeccable contact.
Indeed, the tabloids have printed a lot of bull about Pitt and his exes. That includes an April cover story that falsely said Pitt and Aniston were going to star in a movie together to get “revenge” on Jolie. As it turns out, the actor’s tell-all and his joint film with Aniston will be coming out at the same time: A week from never.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
