A tabloid claims Brad Pitt has introduced Alia Shawkat to his kids with Angelina Jolie, who’s furious over it. Nothing about the story is remotely true. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
As Gossip Cop has stressed several times, Pitt and Shawkat aren’t dating, despite romance rumors making the rounds last month. Unfortunately, Life & Style isn’t giving up on the false premise. Instead, the magazine is escalating things by claiming Shawkat has met five of Pitt’s six kids. His oldest son, Maddox, is currently attending college in South Korea.
An alleged insider says Pitt’s brood “really like” the Arrested Development actress, but Jolie “hit the roof when she heard about Alia being introduced to her children.” The anonymous source adds, “She’s extremely protective over them, and no woman will ever be good enough to play stepmom in her eyes – especially so soon. She’s furious!”
The outlet goes on to say that Pitt’s children met Shawkat months ago, back when he was still getting to know her. As the story goes, the actress has started spending more time with them since. “They all love Alia, especially Shiloh, who’s been raving about how cool and quirky she is,” says the supposed source. “The two of them share the same dry senes of humor. And Zahara loves Alia’s style. They’re even planning a girls’ shopping trip to vintage boutiques together.”
From there, the suspicious tipster says Jolie is now considering reigniting her custody battle. “She’s even threatened to stop Brad from having them on his birthday [December 18], and over Christmas, if Alia is around,” adds the unidentified insider. “That would be devastating.” Actually, the tabloid’s reporting skills are devastating.
Earlier this week, Pitt himself refuted every dating rumor that’s emerged since his split from Jolie. Pitt told the New York Times, “I don’t know how many women they’ve said I’ve been dating the last two or three years, and none of it’s true.” As noted above, several publications wrongly speculated last month that Pitt was dating Shawkat. The rumors started because the two have attended several of the same events together – always accompanied by several other pals. Gossip Cop was the only outlet to get an exclusive denial from the actor’s spokesperson.
Unfortunately, Life & Style doesn’t seem concerned with facts. Gossip Cop recently busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Pitt was worried about Shawkat handling the “scrutiny” of dating him. The actor isn’t concerned about an imaginary scenario. Regardless, we still ran this latest report by Pitt’s rep, who once again confirms “he isn’t dating anyone.”
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
