The “Achy Breaky Heart” hitmaker stepped out in Nashville over the weekend. He appeared as a special celebrity at the Nashville Humane Association’s Unleashed Dinner with Your Dog on Saturday, Feb. 1. He posted photos of his appearance on Instagram.
“The incomparable [Emmylou Harris]!” Billy Ray Cyrus gushed in the post’s caption. “[The Nashville Human Association] asked me to attend its Unleashed gala tonight, and of course, I had to support. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have [dogs] Rain and Tommy Jack! What a wonderful evening with such an incredible organization, and to top it all off, Emmylou Harris!
Cyrus’ latest public appearance came after he released a statement about his performance at President Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.
“I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not,” he explained. “I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me. I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night and I’ve learned through all these years when the producer says, ‘You’re on,’ you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell. I was there for the people, and we had a blast. That’s called rock n roll!!!”
However, Billy Ray’s son, Trace Cyrus, came forward and shared his concerns after the noticeably rough performance. Trace urged his father to seek help for whatever “problems” he may have.
“You’re not healthy Dad,” Trace wrote in an Instagram post. “Everyone is noticing it.”
Days later, Billy Ray Cyrus seemingly addressed Trace’s letter. “Praying for the brokenhearted and their pain. Praying for my family. For my children … sons and daughters…and their mother. Let this moment be the start of healing.”
Billy Ray Cyrus Celebrated His Daughter Miley’s Win at the 2025 Grammys
Following his public outing, Billy Ray Cyrus took to Instagram to praise his daughter, Miley, for her big win at the 2025 Grammys.
Miley and Beyoncé won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their hit track “II Most Wanted.”
“Congratulations [Miley] and [Beyoncé] on their well-deserved Grammy wins!” Billy Ray stated in a recent Instagram post. Couldn’t be prouder.”
The duo went up against Kelsea Ballerini with Noah Kahan’s “Cowboys Cry Too,” Brothers Osbourne’s “Break Mine,” Dan + Shay’s “Bigger Houses,” and Post Malone ft. Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help.”
Billy Ray’s praise comes just after sources revealed that he and Miley haven’t had a relationship in a long time. They also claimed that Miley has “no interest” in working through their issues.
Miley noticeably kept Billy Ray out of the acceptance for her first Grammy win in 2024.
