Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s daughter Shiloh is not miserable living with her mom and begging her dad to save her, despite a false report. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony story. It’s totally made-up.
“Sad Shiloh Plots Escape From Angie!” reads a headline in the latest issue of the National Enquirer. The article says the 13-year-old is desperate to get away from her mom and has been trying to persuade her dad to take her in. “Their nasty divorce has impacted Shiloh the most,” a supposed insider tells the outlet. “She always had a special connection with Brad that she and Angie could never hope to have – and she’s been begging to live with her dad.”
The alleged source continues, “Angie’s been so busy dealing with divorce lawyers and promoting [Maleficent: Mistress of Evil] that she can barely offer one-on-one comfort to any of her kids – least of all Brad’s favorite!” The magazine further contends that Shiloh looked unhappy while on the red carpet at the premiere of the Maleficent sequel, but this claim is baseless. Photos from the premiere show Shiloh laughing with her arm wrapped around Jolie.
The suspicious tipster adds, “People are whispering that she’s constantly on her phone sending emails and texts to Brad asking him to take her away.” The outlet also alleges that “some insiders” believe Shiloh is “plotting to run away” to Pitt’s house to escape her mom.
This phony storyline has cropped up many times before, and for whatever reason, the tabloids keep choosing Shiloh as the one who hates her mom. Just last week, Gossip Cop debunked a similarly false article about Jolie’s relationship with Shiloh being strained over Pitt. In July, we shot down a bogus report alleging Shiloh was “ditching” her mom to live with Pitt instead.
Gossip Cop has also corrected the inverse of this premise. Last year, we busted the Enquirer‘s sister publication, Star, for wrongly reporting Shiloh was angry at Pitt because she believed he abandoned her. We even debunked a story alleging the teenager was fed up with both of her parents. Earlier this year, Star falsely claimed Shiloh was demanding to live with her grandparents in Missouri because she couldn’t deal with the drama of her parents’ divorce.
The reason the tabloids can’t seem to decide how Shiloh feels about Pitt and Jolie’s split is because they have zero insight into the matter. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who confirms this latest article on the topic is just more fiction in what’s becoming a recurring theme that won’t go away. It’s one thing for the gossip media to come up with nonsense involving Pitt and Jolie, but it’s time to leave their young daughter out of it.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
