More than seven years after Aaron Rodgers and Olivia Munn officially called it quits, it appears the NFL star’s family isn’t quite over the drama that occurred during the relationship.

According to the New York Post, Rodgers cut off communication with his parents, Ed and Darla, back in 2014 when he was living with Munn. His parents notably attended the Packers vs Bills game, which resulted in Rodgers’ career-worst 34.3 quarterback rating. Although they thought they had a great conversation with Munn during the visit, it appears the actress didn’t feel the same way.
Sources say that after the game, Olivia Munn called Aaron Rodgers’ parents and went off on them. She was allegedly upset about their plans to see Aaron again when the Packers played at Tampa Bay before Christmas. The game was part of their trip to Disney World.
After Munn made it clear that she and Rodgers didn’t want them to attend the game, Ed and Darla fired back and said that they would be at the game and did not need her permission. “The only thing I said was, ‘You haven’t been on the scene very long. You’re just his girlfriend. We’re his parents,’ ” Ed said to the media outlet.
Although they did go on the trip and attend the game, Ed and Darla didn’t see their son. Rodgers allegedly sent an email to his family afterward, stating, “Don’t attack the woman I love.”
Ed and Darla notably stopped speaking to Aaron after the incident. They weren’t able to have another conversation with him for at least nine years.
Sources Say Aaron Rodgers’ Parents Can’t Put the Blame on Olivia Munn Completely
Meanwhile, sources claimed that Aaron Rodgers’ parents can’t necessarily put the sole blame on Olivia Munn for their family’s rift.
“You get on his bad side, you cross him once, you are dead to him,” the insiders explained.
However, Munn didn’t exactly help her case by going public about her and Rodgers’ private lifestyle. She talked about her sex life with Aaron just before the Buffalo loss. Given that Darla is a devoted Christian, the comments weren’t exactly welcoming.
“She was saying all that and it pissed Darla off, really pissed her off,” a source close to the Rodgers family stated.
Munn also claimed in an interview on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM radio show that she had encouraged Rodgers to build a bridge back to his parents. She then said that the rift began before their relationship started.
“It’s a lie,” Ed Rodgers said.
