Some actors and actresses take their job very seriously. They really go the extra mile, even deciding that their physical health is worth risking, as long as it is for the good of the movie.
This is far from being a surprise. Anyone that plays Batman is inevitably going to start believing that they are the real Batman. Of course, Bale did his own stunts long before the Batman days. Now it is just that much cooler.
Opinions on whether Cruise is a blessing or a bane of modern cinema are decidedly split. Whatever side of the fence one stands on, it is hard not to admit that Cruise is pretty awesome when it comes to action flicks and his willingness to do his own stunts.
This one may come as quite the surprise. After all, she spends most of her time acting in romantic comedies and other low-impact movies. When the time comes to get dirty, however, Diaz is always willing to step up.
With the in-your-face attitude that Angelina Jolie is known for, it would be unthinkable to find out that she did not do her own stunts. She runs the gambit when it comes to the types of films she does, but action and adventure definitely top that list.
Chloe Grace Moretz
Most may know her as Hit-Girl from "Kick-Ass." Moretz, much like her on-screen counterpart, is a tough girl that can handle herself, even if it means being tossed around a little.
Now here is one that might surprise people. This girl may not be able to act her way out of a paper bag, but apparently she knows how to get physical. Now if only someone could convince her that a career as a stuntwoman might be more up her alley.
A serious no-brainer. People go to Jackie Chan’s movies not to watch him spit out badly-written lines, but to see him jump, roll, and use his martial arts moves throughout the flick. The man has broken nearly every bone in his body at least once largely because of his stunts.
Some may best know Craig as the newest incarnation of James Bond, though he has a career that spans 20 years longer than the Bond job. As it turns out, he is more devoted to being a super-spy than first suspected.
No one would ever call Han Solo a wimp and Harrison Ford is no different. He may be getting up there in years, but Ford has always been the man to call when a movie needs someone with charm, wit and the ability to endure a few bumps and bruises.
Josh Hutcherson may be young, but that does not mean that he is not ready to put himself in harm’s way. From his earlier work to his role as Peeta in the "Hunger Games," Hutcherson is a scrappy and able 21-year-old.
Being that he started his rise to fame in an athletic field, it is very fitting that Schwarzenegger would be one to perform his own stunts. In his earlier years, it was this ability to do his own stunts that landed him jobs. He may be getting older, but the ex-Governator is still willing to do whatever he can to make a movie more realistic.
The name Jason Statham is synonymous with the action genre. His ability to put himself in harm’s way to make a production better is one of the reasons why he keeps getting jobs, even if they are mostly in the same franchises, over and over and over.
